The Crabb Family: It all began less than 10 years ago with a dream……….a dream in the prayer of a father that his family would make an impact for Christ and a desire to instill within them the values that he so strongly upheld……….a dream in the heart of a mother who quickly recognized the talents of her children and wanted to see them use those talents to the best of their abilities to make a difference……….a dream in the hearts of six children to share the gospel with a lost and hurting world.
Gerald and Kathy Crabb, along with their children, began to pray that God would lead them in the right direction. As they took their children to church and trained them up in the way they should go, God began to honor their prayers and gave them a love for music- gospel music. Not only did he give them a love for music, but He blessed them each abundantly with the talents they would later need to fulfill His purpose for their lives. He also placed deep within their hearts a calling and a desire to share the gospel through song.
The Crabb Family is the largest family group in Southern Gospel Music today. They bring to the stage six tremendous vocalists backed by an exceptional six-piece live band. Gerald and Kathy Crabb and their children rely solely on an anointing straight from God to present an electrifying atmosphere. They have always strived to be "real" on stage and the results have been phenomenal.
The ministry of the Crabb Family has grown by leaps and bounds in just a short time. What began as a family traveling to local churches for revivals and singing events has now become a national ministry. The Crabb Family ministry now expands into churches, arenas, outdoor venues, and various facilities all across the country. They appear regularly on TBN's "Praise the Lord," as well as several of the Gaither Homecoming concerts.
In addition, Crabb Family concerts feature a special multi-media presentation. The presentation includes childhood photos of the Crabb Family, current family photos, as well as information about the Crabb Family and their ministry. There are also graphics that bring the songs to life. The messages in the songs become reality to the audience through the multi-media. They also own and operate Family Music Group, Crabb House Studios and the Crabb Tree Boutique.
The Crabb Family have to their credit seven number one songs, all written by founder, Gerald Crabb.
